Greg Quicke aka Space Gandalf
Astronomer Greg Quicke’s Astro Tours is on many people’s bucket list when they visit Broome, especially since he’s been a presenter on ABC and BBC TV’s Stargazing show alongside Dr Brian Cox.
Recently our two dads came to Broome for a week and we spent an evening stargazing through telescopes big and small, as Greg made sense of a few things for us. It was an exceptional experience and one we all talked about for days after. (Five stars, highly recommended!)
Around 20 years ago Steve had the opportunity to view the night sky through telescopes when Greg spent time in our home town of Denmark on WA’s south coast. Over the years, as we’ve laid on a rug by the fire, under the stars, we’ve wished that Greg was with us to answer all our questions, so it was a real treat to have him on hand at our camp one evening recently.
